The 2026 Jersey Shore Boat Racing season launched with a double-points thriller on Cedar Creek, as Skeptic, Wait What?, and Screamin’ Sue all took class victories.
Waretown, NJ — The 2026 JSBR Championship season roared to life on June 6th at the Holiday Beach Club on Cedar Creek, with double points on the line for the Spring Nationals. A packed shoreline of spectators watched as competitors across five classes battled for early-season momentum.
In the Adult Mini class, M-13 Skeptic driven by Stephen Girone took the opening win, establishing an early championship lead. The 18 & Under Mini division saw M-18 Wait What? with driver Avarie Megee claim victory in her class debut.
Super Stock action delivered a tight contest, with G-29 Pied Piper II driven by Derek Wilson edging out G-2 Why Me Lord for the top step. In Production, P-5 Mini Hooker dominated the field, while G-63 Screamin’ Sue with Nick Altmeyer at the helm swept the 358 class.
With double points awarded, every position mattered. The High Points Championship leaderboard is already shaping up to be fiercely competitive as teams look ahead to Race #2 at Tuckerton Cove.
