From Palm City, Florida to the Jersey Shore — Modified Garvey driver Steve Adams and his BAMF racing team bring southern grit to the 2026 JSBR circuit.
Steve Adams didn’t grow up on the Jersey Shore, but the Modified Garvey class competitor has made it his adopted racing home. Hailing from Palm City, Florida, Adams and his BAMF team (boat #G-87) have quickly become fan favorites on the JSBR circuit.
Paired with rider Josh Wall, the BAMF team runs a Modified-class Garvey — one of the most demanding boats in the JSBR fleet. The Modified division demands precision, throttle control, and an intimate understanding of how a flat-bottom hull reacts in tight circuit turns.
"It’s about respect for the water and the guys you’re racing next to," Adams says. "These Jersey shore courses are tight, technical, and the local teams know every ripple. Coming up from Florida, I had to relearn how to read these creeks."
With a distinctive blue team color and an aggressive driving style, BAMF is a team to watch as the season progresses. Look for Steve and Josh at the front of the Modified pack at every remaining race on the 2026 schedule.
