Berkeley, NJ — The Clash at the Creek at Berkeley Island on Cedar Creek almost didn’t happen. A morning safety issue and windy conditions forced delays and a flurry of phone calls before race officials gave the green light. "After a stressful morning and a lot of phone calls, Clash at the Creek is officially a go!" JSBR announced.
The wind stayed up throughout the day, forcing course adjustments and testing every driver’s boat handling. "Mother Nature kept us on our toes today," JSBR noted in the race recap. The challenging conditions made for some of the most exciting racing of the season.
In Adult Mini, Skeptic continued to set the pace despite the chop, with Bad Mamma Jamma and Tiny Dancer battling behind. Wait What? maintained her perfect 18 & Under Mini record. Super Stock saw Pied Piper II and Why Me Lord continue their season-long duel.
Production delivered one of the day’s best races, with Mini Hooker, Almost Fired Up, and HYF all in the mix. The 358 class saw Assassin take a class win over Screamin’ Sue in a notable upset. Never Seas continued to dominate the JS Skiff class.
The event also highlighted the JSBR community spirit, with a last-minute call for a volunteer flag boat quickly answered by a local boater who quietly stepped up. "Big thank you to the person who quietly raised their hand," JSBR posted.
